An unmissable, charming city

I recently visited Strasbourg for the second time. It didn’t disappoint. It is a very attractive and enjoyable city to visit.

It is located in the very east of France touching on Germany. At one point it was a German city and you can definitely feel this when you walk around the city centre. The architecture and the names of places give it a distinctly German feel. Nevertheless, these days it is a French city.

A standout cathedral

More than anything else, Strasbourg is dominated by its assymetrical cathedral. It is in the very city centre and its high single steeple can be seen from far when approaching the city. There are no other tall buildings in the city so when you see a high steeple in Strasbourg, you know that it is the cathedral.
